About the Imperial Hotel, Tenby

Overlooking the soft sands and safe bathing waters of South Beach, the Imperial, built into the town's old stone walls, enjoys a magnificent cliff top position with views towards Caldey Island (boat trips depart from the harbour during summer). It really couldn't have a better location, with the town's cobbled streets, enticing tea-rooms and souvenir shops lying just a few minutes walk away. Step inside the hotel and you'll enter a world of comfort and charm. Restful moments can be spent in the restaurant and bar lounge from which there are breathtaking views, or you may choose to laze on the sheltered south facing sun terrace. Walking is a favourite pastime in this corner of Wales, whilst you'll find that golf, sailing, fishing and riding activities are all well catered for too.

How to get there

By Car:

From the A40 (Carmarthen direction), join the A477 at the St. Clears roundabout. Follow the A477 to Kilgetty. At the roundabout go left onto the A478, following signs for Tenby. On approaching the town, follow signs for the South Beach as far as the Texaco Garage. Take the first left at the roundabout, going up hill, go straight across the crossroads. Keep the old wall on your left, following it nearly to the end. The hotel is left under the arch. However cars are prohibited in this area. For car parking please see the hotel. By Train:

Tenby's station (unmanned) is situated approximately 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Train enquiries to 08457 484950.
