The Property

In a prime location, right in the centre of the curving esplanade, just a pleasant walk from the shops and harbour, stands Oban's Great Western; a hotel proud of offering space and comfort, as well as magnificent views of the bay (remember to look out for those memorable sunsets!). Ideal for a relaxing holiday, the activity on the bay can simply be watched from the welcoming lounge and cocktail bar, while it's also an ideal touring centre. With Glencoe, serene lochs and the Western Isles on the doorstep, there's a myriad of sightseeing opportunities. And with coast and country walks, angling, sailing, diving, bird-watching and a whole host of other leisure pursuits at hand, you should never be at a loss for something to do.

The Hotel’s car park, which has limited space is located at the front of the building. If full, alternative parking is usually available in the council car park close by (fee payable).

How to get there

By Car:

FROM THE SOUTH: Leave the A82 to join the A85 at Dalmally. The Hotel is on Corran Esplanade on the Town Centre, just off George Street and Dunollie Road.
FROM THE NORTH: From the A82, join the A828 following signs for Oban, when you reach the T-Junction, turn left onto the A85. The Hotel is on the Corran Esplanade in the Town Centre AA Roadwatch 09003 401100.

By Train:

The railway station is situated approximately one quarter of a mile from the Hotel. Oban’s station is served by trains from the Queen Street Station in Glasgow. (Rail enquiries to 08457 484950).

By National Express:
